Hey- How many places did you all register?
I am at Dillards, Crate and Barrel and Target? Is 3 normal, not enough too much?

I say as long as you have the thing that you want and need any number is good. we are registered at 2 places.

I did three as well, Target, Crate and Barrel, and Bloomingdales. I figured that would give people a wide variety to choose from.
The only problem is keeping track of what I've registered for where! I have to keep looking back at my list to remember if I have something on the list at another place!

3's good, but just depends on what you really want to get.
word of advice from Target VIP shopper....
most merchandise changes so frequently it's horrible to registry something 2~6months in advance. best to get Target gift cards!
amazon, bed bath & beyond are wonderful places to register too.

3 is fine! Who cares how many places you are registered at? When people shop for themselves, they don't confine themselves to just one store, so why should you, right?

I think you're just giving people a wider choice for gifts which is very thoughtful in itself!

we did 3 - Macy's, Crate and Barrel, and Williams Sonoma

oh, well maybe we did 4 b/c just for kicks, DH registered for a ceiling fan at Home Depot (we didn't get that)

Most people shopped at Macys...then C&B

We did Crate and Barrel and Target. We got everything from our Target list but few things from C&B because there isn't a store near our friends and family. We did get a few things mail-order and I used their registry completer program to get some of the items we REALLY wanted. We didn't register for china or crystal so no need for Dillard's or Macy's but they are great to add as well. You'll be fine with 3 registries.

Hey there:

I registered at Linens n things, Bed bath and beyond, jc penney and Target.
I still had people complaining I hadn't registered at anything close to them.
After all of that, I only got 2 things from my registry.
Everyone gave us CASH!
I guess thats better.

Thanks- that helps. As far as Target goes we did not register for decor or anything like that, just towels and some kitchen gadgets a pan, mixer and if they go away I will keep checking and add more...I am kind of sad that I do not have anymore places to register. I am at target at least twice per week and I agree that it has great things and yes they do seem to change often - but I think that a lot of stores do.

I finally found Marquis by Waterford crystal that will work- I never found any that I was just wild about and while that is still 25-35 per glass it is better than 50-70 per glass. I wanted to find a comforter at Dillards but they change so I ended up buying one on sale at pottery barn myself...

Geez I keep buying my registery! AAAHHH!
