Reserving seats when flying with delta through airfrance

I know this has been asked before but I'm still no further forward. I booked through Opodo with Airfrance on a Delta flight. I have contacted Opodo who say that they cannot arrange seat reservations as they have not been issued with seat plans. Airfrance don't seem to have on line booking and when I put my details on the Delta site it does not recognise them & tells me to use my E ticket number. I can't do this as the first 3 letters are pre fixed & ours are different to the choices given. I can do on line check in up to 30 hours before flight & choose seats then but I am worried that if others have booked we may not be seated together.

have you got any kind of confirmation number? i booked delta through airline network, and my confirmation number for logging on deltas site is something like 3DO4OC
that worked to log on deltas site.

You should be able to get on Delta site somehow. I managed it so can't be too difficult
But I doubt that will help you anyway. The booking is just like mine, only I booked thru Expedia then its an AirFrance/Delta booking. I contacted Delta thru their online live chat, I had to do seat planning thru AirFrance. Can't be done on their website you have to ring them.

Thanks Wayne, I'l try Delta site if not will ring Air France. Opodo now tell me i have to go through Delta. I'l try sort it tommorrow.

No, not managed to get around to it yet as been quite busy at work , looking to sorting this weekend. I will post what info I get for you. Are you on the same flights?

We rang Air France who said they would contact Delta to allocate seats for us and ring us back, but they haven't rung back to confirm yet! I'm gonna chase it up later, and will post again to let you know how I get on.

Just an update - I was all set to resolve this yesterday when I got an e mail from Opodo advising me of my seat numbers. So job done. Would have preferred a window seat on the way home but no biggie at least i know we're together.
