Reserving Fastpass+ with an Annual Pass Voucher?

I just read an article on Touring Plans that said sometimes it can be done with the help of a CM by phone, while sometimes it cannot.

Any updates on this?

WWYD? Buy regular tickets then upgrade them after you get to the parks, or buy a season pass voucher and try to get a CM to help you by phone? Seems to me that the former might be easier. Is there any downside to doing it that way?

I was able to scan our vouchers with my phone and schedule FP in advance. I couldn't get it to work by typing numbers on my computer.

Same with me. It wouldn't take the number but when I used my phone to scan from my kindle it linked right away.

I didn't have to do a thing when I bought my AP. Because I checked out while logged in to MDE it was automatically in my MDE account. I have booked 6 days worth of FP, nothing but a voucher so far. I also can see the AP room rates and have booked rooms with the AP discount.
