Reserving Eight Days

Can I call at seven months out to reserve eight days or do I need to wait another day to reserve eight days? I seem to remember something about only being able to reserve for up to seven nights.
Is this correct? And if not, could someone help me out. I have searched on the DVCmember website and the sticky at the top, but haven't found anything.
I am going to dig my old big book out now.

If it matters, I am wanting to reserve a non home resort out at seven months for eight nights. I am going to purchase 22 one time use points when I reserve. Thanks again.

At the 7 month mark, you can reserve 7 nights. For the 8th night, you would have to call the next day to extend. If you need the 22 points as part of the 7 nights, you would have to call for that instead of online.

At 7 months out you can reserve 1 week. I would do that online. The next day you can call MS to add the 8th night, you will need to call MS to buy the one time use points.

As others have said, you can only reserve the first 7 nights when calling exactly at the 7 or 11 month point. You can then call back the next day to add the 8th night.

The scenario you mention in your original post also works. You can wait until 7 months from the 2nd day of your vacation and book all 8 nights at once.
