Hey - I was wondering if the universal system is the same as the Disney system when it comes to reserving a room at Universal. Do you need to put down a deposit, or do they charge you full when you make the reservation, or do they charge you when you get to Universal?
Thanks - Jo

If you book online through Universal you may be charged one nights stay including tax as a deposit. If you call Universal or Loews you will be charged one nights stay plus tax as your deposit.

Some people dont get charged a deposit when booking online but a CC is still taken and payment is charged at check-in.

this last reservation for our june trip is the first time we have ever been charged upfront.I was wondering if they just started enforcing it more or we got caught in the law of averages:confused3

when you make a ressie you are charged/supposed to be, one night stay including the tax.

if you cancel a ressie, you have 5 days prior to do so in order to get your deposit returned.
