I found this information for reservations for the E.P. on another thread (thanks, Hlbtimes2) and was wondering if anyone has done this and how you liked it.

Per the email I received last fall (price went up $3 for this year):
Disney’s Electrical Parade: ($56 for ages 10 and up, $46 for ages 3-9, 25 seats available)

View this classic Disney favorite from the picturesque patio of the Golden Vine Winery in Disney’s California Adventure. Adults can enjoy a glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage accompanied by a platter of meats, cheeses and bread. Children are served milk, juice, or soda, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and Mickey –shaped corn chips.

Tickets can be purchased through Vacation Planning by calling (714) 300-7526, option 2 up to 30 days in advance. Credit cards only are accepted by phone.

Tickets obtained through Vacation Planning can be picked up with Guest’s itinerary
(when staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels).

Guests should check in one hour prior to show time. Seating will begin 30 minutes before the show starts. Tickets are subject to availability and non-refundable!

I have seen the seating area. It is on the patio near Wine Country Trattoria.

You can make a PS for the restaurant and ask to be seated on the patio near the walkway. You can have a full meal with wine and dessert for less than the special ELP seating. I had a panini sandwich and diet coke for about $13.00 and had a perfect view of the parade.

That sounds like a much better plan. I like the idea of reserved seating, but wasn't too thrilled with the meat & cheese offering. I wish they had something like the Fantasmic dessert buffet!
How long before the parade started did you make your PS for? The parade is scheduled for 9:00 when we're there, would 8:00 be enough time for us to get the patio seating?

If you are doing this to get a good spot to view the parade, I don't think it's worth it. We go several times a year and have never had a problem getting a good seat about 15 min before it starts. If you want to view it from a comfortable chair than go ahead, but if you are trying to avoid the crowds don't bother. (unless it will be Christmas week or Thanksgiving week when the crowds are huge)

Great advice, thank you. I wasn't sure if it would be so crowded that it would make it hard to see. I love the ELP and haven't seen it since my first trip many years ago.

Great info. We will be there in Jan and I will do the PS for dinner the night we are in DCA to see the parade!

WOW that actually sounds amazing. Im going to look more into that. Thanks for the advice.
