Then DH called me and said "You booked for yourself? I thought WE were going and staying at OKW." But when I'd first mentioned it, he'd showed no enthusiasm, so I figured he didn't want to go and I booked for a solo trip (BCV is where I stay solo, DH and I together go to OKW). Boy, was I surprised! So I guess this weekend is going to be a discussion of my, I mean OUR, vacation plans. Anyone else initially have a less-than-enthusiastic DH who changes his mind?

Girl, I feel your pain!

I booked a trip for DD's Sweet 16 at OKW. DH swore up and down he didn't want to go. He kept saying he didn't want to go to Florida again this year and he thought he'd be out of town for work. Which turned out to be correct.

Well, I waitlisted for BWV and it came through. Now he's singing a completely different tune! He keeps going on about how he wished he could go and that maybe he can if his out of town work finishes up early!

My DH is not a planner. He hates thinking about when to go, taking off of work, what to do while at WDW. However, once he is there he has a great time! It's frustrating getting excited with all the pre planning all by myself! I am trying to get him to OKW because I know he will love the porch and views but I can't get him to decide on anything before hand! One place I never have a problem with him going is to Vero Beach. So this is a once a year trip planned if possible.

Yeah-that's what I'll tell him! We discussed it last night, and he wants to spend 4 days at OKW with me, then let me spend 4 days at BCV (he only has so much vacation time). Shhh! I haven't changed my BCV reservations. Last year he did end up "tolerating" BCV when he came down to spend a few days at the F&W festival. Being walking distance from Beaches and Cream (and he could walk there in the rain and stay dry) made it quite a tolerable vacation for him. So he may end up at BCV yet.
