Is it normal for your reservation letter not to show that you requested a fully accessable room. I have just phoned and they def. have it logged so do you think I don't need to worry. We can't do without the accessable room for my son. And also does anybody know where room 30 is located in SSR

thanks

You don't need to worry if you called and they have it in the computer. Only a few of the more common requests (like smoking or non-smoking) actually print on the confirmation letter.

Can't help with the location of anything at SSR.

Best wishes -

All room numbers at SSR are 4 digits. Where did you get the phrase "room 30"?

because my son has special needs they hadn't put on our reservation that I had requested a fully assessable rooms so when i phoned she said oh don't worry your are in room 50 (30was my bad typing !!) which means absolutely nothing to me. but we can't go if we don't get an assessable room

My guess is that "50" is the internal computer system code that DVC uses to add the "handicapped accessible" room request to a reservation.

If you still want a greater comfort level, call back and speak to another member services rep.

Sorry for more questions but I received my amended confirmatin today and it states ACCESSIBLE VACATION HOME CONFIRMED.
My question is on some of the threads people talk about fully accessable rooms with roll in shower etc and some of the room just have like the grab handles in the toilets etc. How do I know I have the one we need e.g. the roll in shower.

Thanks again

If it says accessible, it will be a wheelchair ready room with all of the things you need like roll in shower, grab bars, lower countertops etc. All HCA rooms will have ALL these things. I don't think you have to worry, because they will guarantee medical needs like that. I believe they MUST.
