Does anyone know how early reservations can be made?
We are going in Sept of 2010 and I can't find another thread asking this. I know that I can't make a package reservation, but I think once the time frame opens up I can switch it to a package?? Is that right? Thanks.

You can book 499 days in advance. So booking for 2010 is still a few months away. Once you reach the date, you will be charged a one night deposit based on the current peak rate for the resort. When the real rates come out then you can change to a package.

We're going december 2009 and I believe we can book (499 days) around Aug 1st of this year.

For your date, that would be somewhere in the ballpark of May, 2009.

I think there are calculators somewhere on these boards that will tell you the exact date you can book.

I was wondering myself too, I am planning my vacation for June of 2010 and had been wondering when I could make reservations. I have looked for more information but haven't been able to find it. It's been so exciting to plan everything so far I can't begin to imagine what it will be like at disney

You can book it 500 days from the day of check out. For example, if you want to vacation June 1 - 7, 2010, you can book your entire vacation 500 days from June 7, 2010.

My travel agent told me that the 2009 dates would be available possibly by the end of July. So I would assume that the 2010 dates would become available June or July 2009.

My hubby keeps laughing at me for looking at the resorts and menus, but I told him there are a lot of choices to decide on and I want to be prepared. He tries to say were going in 2012, but me and DD will have the final say. lol

Yes, but you can book some dates in 2010 before the prices come out in aug, 2009 so long as you are within that 499 day window. For example, 2009 prices aren't out yet, but you can book now for almost any time in 2009, except for late nov and dec 2009 which are more than 499 days away.
