Reservations with friends who are staying offsite

If we are staying onsite and friends are offsite and we want to dine together on our third day, can we make reservations for all 8 of us on 180 days from our first day or do we need to wait until 180 days from the date of reservation?

You can make all your dining reservations at 180 days for the length of your resort stay up to a max of 10 days. You can include your off site friends because number of people on the dining reservation does not have to match the number on your resort reservation.
