I have noticed several posts lately where people are talking about reservations being cents off. All reservations I have made (I am fairly new at this and have not made many) have been quoted to me in even dollar amounts? I had decided that Disney must always round the amount due to the nearest dollar? Am I doing something wrong when I make reservations, or do they usually charge even dollar amounts???
thanks

We've always had "cents" on ours. The room rates are even amounts but once they add the room tax we end up with "cents" in the total. ~:D~

Same here. I included the 36 cents in our payment last week so that the last 10 payments will be even dollar amounts.

In years past, I have had reservations that were not whole dollar amounts, but I noticed that both reservations I made this year(2002) were rounded to the nearest whole dollar amount. For my trip in Dec., we have 2 rooms at PO-R at $94.35 per night, per room. The total should be $754.80(by my calculations), but I was quoted $755 when making the reservation, and on my confirmation. I don't know if having a DC discount made any difference, because I did not use the toll-free DC line to make the ressies.

My last ressie with CRO should have been $592.xx by my calculations, but they rounded it and charged me an even $593

They rounded off our total to a whole dollar amount, too...but they rounded down! I'm saving 45 cents. :) I hadn't even noticed that before. WL, here I come...what can I buy with my extra 45 cents?

I had a weird experience at the Polynesian with cents...wonder if it had to do with rounding? At check out we had a balance of 35 cents or some small amount. It was the cost of 1 local call minus a small credit on our account. I have no idea why we would have had a credit but maybe it was because we paid a rounded up amount?? It was just a one night stay & I think we paid a whole dollar amount ahead of time.

Funny thing was, I didn't have any cash at check out. I ran to get the money (we were late getting to the airport) but when I got back, a different CM just told me to forget aout the 35 cents!
