Reservations vs Walk In During F & W

We will be attending the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot this year and have a 5 day park hopper package will be ending each night at Epcot. How difficult is it to walk in and dine at the German Biergarten Buffet or Restaurant Marrakesh during F & W? How long was your wait? Is it so busy that you would recommend reservations?

We want to see what's available at the Kiosks and experience those unique things but we are also open to dining at one or two of the "sit-down" restaurants.

Thank you.

I would absolutely recommend reservations for Biergarten if you want to eat there.
Not sure about your wait at Marrakesh.
I'd recommend Spice Table if you want to walk up in Morrocco. If you dine at an off time, like a late lunch, it seems to often have availability. I've also noticed available tables in the evening.

Oh dear - middle of F&W? I'll echo Gwynnee's suggestion.... get ADRs. You did not mention if any little one's were involved... if they are? REALLY consider ADR's. The saddest thing we see on every trip (and it seems to happen at least ONCE every trip) is a walk up family getting hit with a very polite "go away" :(. And their children are HUNGRY :(.

Now none of this may apply to you - you might prefer to wing it. If you are flexible? Probably a whole different story.

Nope it's just me and my boyfriend and we will be at WDW for 5 days with park hopper. Last night after seeing the posted pictures of menus and food we are more interested in the food booths and plan on working our way through them. It would be a spur of the moment decision if we do decide to eat at the Biergarten or another restaurant.

Thanks for your advice everyone.
