Reservations question

We are going to WDW in Jan 2009. My question is this....can I make dining reservations before I make resort reservations? I plan on doing the DDP but I know Disney announces reduced rates in Oct-Nov for Jan and want to wait for that for resort but.... we want to do HoopDeDoo and get great seats so I want to make those reservations 180 days out...can I do that?

Yes you can go ahead and make those exactly 180 days out. You just can't use the 180 + 10 rule since you will not have a reservation confirmation number. So if you wanted to make multiple reservations you would have to call 180 days from the particular day you wanted the reservation for.

Certainly - anyone can make ADR's at the 180 mark whether they have a resort ressie or not.
