Reservations Points ?

I am buying a resale with "Reservation Points". I know reservations points have to be used at a non-DVC hotel and they cannot be banked. Would I be able to use them to book something in the Concierge Collection? I think I read somewhere that Concierge Collections could not be used in the last 4 months of your use year. Is that correct? Are there any other restrictions?

Yes, "Reservation Points" can only be used for the non-DVC options. They cannot be used for the "World Passport Collection" since a DVC reservation needs to be made for the exchange, but they could be used for any of the Disney Collection or Concierge Collection options.

Since those points are already in "Reservation Point" status, they could be used thru the end of your Use Year. Members can no longer make a reservation during the last 4 months of a Use Year for a non-DVC option reservation. This is because DVC must use the points to make and cash rent a reservation at a DVC resort to "pay" for the non-DVC stay. Originally DVC members could not make those non-DVC reservations during the last 2 months of a Use Year, but that was modified when the banking deadlines were "simplified" last year.

In this case, you could use the existing "Reservation Points" any time thru the end of the Use Year for any non-DVC options (except World Passport). There are no other restrictions.
