If you have a reservation for 6:00 on a party night and the park closes for general admission at 7:00 will you be allowed to eat and then leave the park if you are not doing the party?

Yes. Party people have on wristbands, and it takes a little bit of time for the non party goers to get weeded out. Once you leave dinner, you'll be reminded to head out of the park. If you don't, a cast member might stop you and ask you to leave. You won't be able to get on any rides or anything without the wrist band.

It depends on the restaurant. On the reservation page for each MK TS restaurant it has a cut off time for making reservations without a party ticket. I looked at BOG and it says 6:15, but for CRT the night I looked at says 5:55.

While this is a change from previous years when the reservation could be as late as 6:55, for now it is written in more than one place when making the dining reservation on a party night. It might be changed again or it might be they've decided to try and have non-party ticket holders finished with dinner sooner.

It seems the policy has changed. Pay close attention when booking your ADR. Make sure the timing works for you.

Thanks for this info!!

I had a CRT reservation at 6:55 and I thought I would be okay since it's before 7! It did NOT show me the "this is a special ticketed event..." message while booking, as it did when I tried one for after 7 (just to experiment). I looked it up the way a previous poster suggested, and sure enough, my time is included as 'specially ticketed'. :(

Thanks for this! I bet there will be a lot of openings now on party nights. I would never pay the extra $$$ for the party then sit in a restaurant for 2 hours of it. We were only going to hop over for dinner.

Just to follow up then. If I will be attending a Christmas Party, that starts at 7, Can I still make a TS ADR for say 5 or 6 pm since they usually let you into MK at 4pm?

Yes. To take full advantage of the party it is best to make it early enough to be done before the start of the party. If you are planning to line up for rare characters, the line often start around 6:00 so take that into account if this is in your plans.

Yes, but remember that dining takes time, so be careful when scheduling your meal. MY personal cutoff is 5 PM, because I do nto like to miss party time eating. WE do nto stand in line for rare characters, so that makes a difference if meeting them is part of your party goals.

What is the best reservation to make during christmas party?

If you want ts on s party night and are going to the party, I would either schedule an early meal anywhere in the MK. Or an early dinner on the monorail line. I don't worry about getting in the MK at 4 because we usually have multiple days there. I won't schedule much later than 5 though.

If you are not going to the party I would either try to book the last timeframe allowed within the park if I was set on remaining there til 7. Personally,I would not eat in the park on a party night, but would skeddadle out late afternoon and eat anywhere else.
