Reservations necessary for Goofy's?

We will be going in two weeks. Are reservations necessary at Goofy's? How long of a wait would it be if we just walk-in and asked for a table? This would be for breakfast on a weekday. If it's a lazy morning, I'm guessing we'd be ready for breakfast around 8:30/9ish.

I"m thinking of dining there on our beach day. However, I want to wait until we get closer so we can pick the warmest day of our trip. Therefore, I don't want to make reservations until I'm sure.

We're staying at the DLH, so I was thinking that I could run down early and if the wait was long, the girls could stay in the room until right before they call us.

One never needs to have reservations about being goofy.... believe me! ;)

A couple of times when we went last year there were people walking up and they were not taking walk ups. But we did go a couple of times ourselves with no reservation and didn't have a wait. I think it's just hit or miss. If you tried one day and didn't have any luck you could try another day.

I cant say for sure since I've never actually been yet. However since its spring break time, I would guess it will be pretty busy even on a weekday.

My vote is to make a reservation. If you really want to eat there and you want to do so at a specific time, then call for a reservation. We didn't make reservations for dinner at Goofy's Kitchen until the day before we ate there. So it's definitely not like at WDW, where people made advance dining reservations 6 months ahead of time. Heck, you can't even make ADRs at DL 6 months in advance!

But if you are going at a really busy time of year (spring break, Christmas, Thanksgiving), call sooner rather than later. I think most restaurants that take reservations start doing so 1-2 months in advance of the date. Check the DL website for sure because I'm going off of my foggy memory at the moment!

I think I will make reservation. Last Tuesday evening, we arrived early and called to see if we can change our reservation of 6:30 pm to anything earlier. However, they said the earliest they have available for that evening is 7:30, so we just had to keep our original time. We checked in around 6 pm which we were able to be seated within 10 mins after we met and took pictures with Goofy. I guess we were lucky because we met and talked to someone while waiting for ride in the park. That group also had reservation, but they waited for an hour to be seated which was last Thursday, 2 days after us. It's also a week day.
