Reservations for Rainforest Cafe in DTD?

I just called WDW Dining to try to make a ressie for Rainforest Cafe in DTD in July and the CM told me that it is only for walk-up's and they only do ressie's for the one in AK. I believe him, but I just want to know if anyone else can confirm this because I have read several posts where the diser's got unknowlegable CM's sometimes, so I just want to cover my bases.

Not true. You do have make reservation through the RFC at DTD restaurant itself, not DIsney Dining. They make them 6 months in advance. I've had our July reservation since January!

The number for the DTD Rainforest Cafe is 407-827-8500. Just call that number and make your reservations. We usually eat there on our first night so I've got that number in my files.

If your planning on eating around 4:00 PM or 4:30 PM, chances are you will be told to either walk on the elephant or gorilla side and you will be seated within a few minutes. That is time when my family and I usually eat there and we did not have to wait to hear our names be called and then to line up at either section.

However if your planning to eat around 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM, chances are there will be a longer wait and it would be best to make a reservation.
