Reservations for Epcot Candlelight Processional Dining Packages begin 10/14

I booked for 3 but only have 2. Can I just show up with 2 like a regular ADR ??
past years for CP pkg, took what I could get.

then (after the pixie dust settled), called in & had them modify # of guests.

a couple of times they were able to switch the show time for us too. I prefer the earliest show, as that waiting area is quite dark and can get a bit chaotic with confused guests milling about

anecdotally, going back years here, have never seen a post complaining their ADR wasn't honored if they had less guests than booked. YMMV

I successfully booked my first choice-chefs de France for the 5 pm show at about 6:02. However, it took a bit of maneuvering because as I think some people on here also caught onto, it only opened at 6:00 from a particular link. I was originally trying from the actual candlelight processional page where it says "check back here 10/14 to book." How misleading! But i ended up using the link from one of the blogger sites that had a candlelight processional guide, which worked. So something to know for the future.

I wanted Coral Reef but am having no luck for the two days I need as a party of 1. If I put in I’m a party of 3 there’s plenty of availability! 😣 I don’t want to book it that way and then got charged for the extra two meals when I only show up with one person!

I called in one year to reduce 2 to 1 and they made me cancel. They booked me at a different restaurant and time… not one I particularly wanted. But, of well. That year someone also posted that they showed up for the ressie with one less person and were made to pay for them. I remember because that’s what prompted me to call to reduce my 2 to 1.

Not saying this is common practice or that they will do this again but it has been done. At the moment I am going solo and made a ressie for 3. There is nothing yet for 1 or even 2… but I’ll keep stalking the website. They have definitely not loaded everything yet.

Does anyone know what all is included in the Teppan Edo meal? The site says most restaurants include entree, dessert and beverage. Since it's one of the pricier meals I didn't know if anything extra was included or if enhancements are included.

DD and I are going on my birthday so decided to splurge for a nicer meal.

I was able to book right at 6am but the full list of restaurants wasn't available. I wanted Via Napoli and it isn't listed at all.
This has been our experience. For Monday Dec 8, only Garden Grill and Coral Reef are available. Not choices we care for!

I can't book for a few more days but was looking just so I could see how the process worked (first time doing Disney during the Christmas season). Hopefully will be able to get one of our 3-4 choices we like for one of the later shows (our night is Brendan Fraser, so will be popular I think.)

My TA told me that the last time she did this you were not necessarily given an indication of your showtime but when I was poking around this morning in the app it looks like each reservation indicates the time. Is that "guaranteed"? If so that is nice and what I would expect, but I've gotten conflicting information.

Your reservation will tell you which showtime you picked when booking your ADR. This is what mine looks like:

You need a new TA lol

You book the CP for a particular performance. When you finish your meal you will get your “golden ticket” good for that single performance. You are guaranteed a seat…. if you want a good seat, then depending on the popularity of the narrator, you need to be there earlier.

wow, i'm sure a disappointment.

not sure i would have consented to that cancellation though

disney bring disney, if you don't get the answer you hope for the 1st time you call...calling a 2nd time can produce in totally different results.

Ha -- she is great, really! But I basically just book with her now so that she gets the benefits since she has helped us all along. Despite my confusion on this topic, I feel like I could navigate the entirety of our Disney trips myself at this point.

On this topic though, despite variables such as day of week/speaker, and our desire to have "better" seats -- since I would have my "golden ticket" as you said (I like it!) we could literally two up 10 minutes before hand? I don't see anywhere that there is a "cut off" where they start to fill the reserved seats with stand-by? (Thanks in advance)

Agreed. My concern that year was that someone posted they were charged at the restaurant for a no show. It’s expensive enough I didn’t want to take a chance.

fyi

they tend to start filling in seats after the package line is cleared

going from memory 10-15 min or so, if any seats remain after packages

especially for popular narrators (NPH, john stamps & whoopi - we will miss you this year!) can arrive in package line 45 -30 min early and their is already a snaking line ahead of you

I think I've given up on Via Napoli. Been refreshing since 6 and never once saw it pop it. I am very happy to have a secured seat to watch my daughter perform though and will enjoy my $68 plate of french fries at Rose & Crown 😭 .
I was also hoping for a Via Napoli and haven't seen a single date, time, or party size come available. Mouse Dining only shows one single slot open for it the entire time (November & December).

I don't know if that means Via Napoli was removed from the package, or if they put that one slot out there just so they could advertise it as part of the package options or if they will be loading more availability later.
