We are planning on making dinner reservations at 7:00pm at TOny's Town Square on a night when MK closes at 7:00 BUT is open for MVMCP.
Are we allowed to do that? We are not planning on buying MVMCP tickets. Or can we make ressies at 6:30?

You will not be able to make a reservation at 7 if you don't have tickets to the party. They may even cut it off at 6:50, i'm not sure.

You can make a 6:30, that is actually a good way to make the most of your day at MK. Just so you know, you will be directed to the exit after your meal.

The official response is no. If you do not have a ticket to attend the party, you are expected to be out of the park by 7 PM. ;)

Just take the latest ADR that you can get. That way you maximise your park day.

As long as your reservation is for before 7pm and you check in before 7pm, you won't have a problem. Make your reservation for 6:45pm and you'll be fine :) Tony's is a good choice because when you're done, you won't have to fight your way down Main St since you're almost at the exit anyway :) The first parade starts at 8:15pm and Main St is absolutely packed from 7pm onwards with people already getting spots.

One thing to keep in mind is that if characters are there when you're coming out of the restaurant, you won't be able to meet when without party tickets. I'm not sure if this is something that might bother your kids, just something to keep in mind. Also, you won't be able to shop and some people have reported you can't even use the restrooms without a party wristband.

Not quite. You should be in the queue for your last attraction by 7:00p. As long as you are in the queue, CMs will not make you leave nor should they. You are expected to leave immediately after you are done with that attraction.

For the last 9 years. If you attend the Christmas party your are given a wrist band. I have had CMs check my wrist band. If you are in the park (MK) you will not be allowed to buy anything or ride any rides with out wrist band. :santa:

After 7:00p, yes. In the case of attractions, you need only be in line for that attraction.

after your done with that ride you gota go. WDW folks will not let you cheat the system. You pay for your ticket and you are right the CMs are not gona make you go to the gate if you are in line for an attraction. But when you are done you are expected to leave the park after 7. Otherwise why would people spend the money to attend MVMCP if they could just hang around and not leave at 7.

Okay, if you want to split hairs then that is correct. :) But ultimately, when you are done doing whatever you are doing and it is time for party time, you (generally speaking) are supposed to leave the park and go elsewhere.

I have been to WDW at Christmas for the last 10 years. Two years ago we were there for 16 days at Christmas. Out of those last 10 years we have attended MVMCP for the last 9. Trust me when I say the CMs will not allow you to go on rides, go in stores or even buy a hot dog with out that wrist band.

I just booked this very same ADR during a MNSSHP that we are not attending. I told the CM when booking the 7pm slot that we did not have tickets to the party, she said that was fine, we just need to be checked in by 7. I then understand that we'll be escorted out after dinner.

So, yes, you can make a 7 pm ADR on a party night even though you are not attending the party.

I agree with both of these. :goodvibes

I don't know how you misunderstood. :confused3 #1, I was not disagreeing with Mesaboy. #2, if you are already in line prior to 7 PM, we will let you still ride, but when the ride is over, it is time for you to leave the Magic Kingdom. ;)

Yeah I was being a little nitpicky, but I think it's an important point that day guests be allowed to get in a line all the way up to park close for them--just as they would any other day. But once they're done, they need to skedaddle. ;)

oso wwwhat time does sit doown plllaces close for dinner. Tony's isnt listed to be opened during the party.

on a party nightt we can mmake a reservation for 7 and request a patio seat --stretch that meal for two hours---

now if i recall from reading last year many people compllained that their reservations were cancelled on party nights because the place wasnt opened.

To take it a step further, once the CMs notice you don't have a wrist band they will give you two options: you either buy party tickets, or they escort you out of the park. It is not like EMH where they let people hang around. And when I have been at the Christmas party they check you for your wrist band more than once.

We ate at Crystal palace at 630pm on MVMCP and did not have tickets. We were allowed to dine and when we were done we were asked to wait to the side for a minute. They grabbed us and another family and a CM then escorted us down Main ST and out of the park....You will be allowed to dine but will not be allowed to linger and you may be escorted out of the park when you are done.Any last minute shopping you have planned should be done before you dine. They will not allow you to once 7pm hits unless you have a party ticket/wristband

We did this a couple of trips ago - CRT at 7, ate without any problem, and we along with other non party families were led out by a CM during the parade wow That was interesting.

I don't know if Tony's is open during the party, but if it is, I would not count on scoring a patio table if I did not have a wristband. From my party experience, limited compared to many here, the CM's are pretty vigilant when it comes to prioritizing the party guest needs, so while you will be seated if you arrive before 7, you probably will not be granted a seat that gives you a view of the activities.
