So, today I gained access to dvcmember.com :cool1: and noticed that online reservations are done by submitting a form :scared1: . My question, the site says up to 3 days to reply once you submit the form. I work from 7 - 5 and was planning on making reservations online. But if it's going to take up to 3 days, especially at 7 months, I'm a little scared to use it. Does anyone have any experiences they'd like to share about the online form?

I know a few that do it here - very few. I would never. Call on the phone - get it booked and you will know before you hang up what you have.

The form is good for adding names etc, I would never use it to make a reservation.

FYI you will soon learn that even if you call you need to check your account online to see if the MS Adviser did what you expected. You also need to keep copies of your points, reservations, and other notes pertaining to your account on a spreadsheet or other system that works for you. The MS accounting system has been known to have an occasional problem.

I've used it for reservations with no problems....but I always book during the 11 month priority at OKW, and rarely ever travel during a busy booking season. If I were booking at 7 months for a more popular resort and travel time, I would definitely call.

I did it once. Not sure I would do it again.

If MS has a question regarding your request, (ie verifying using borrowed points, or multple options available...) then they e-mail back and your answer gets put back in their "online" request queue so that adds another day or more to the process....

Thank you all for your opinions. I believe I will find a way to call.

Not only call but call often because one rep is different from another. If you find yourself with one who doesn't know the answers that you know, hang up and call again until you find an experienced rep. I called for a reservation for a studio and the first rep was quick to say there were no rooms. I called back 2 hrs later and guess what? There was one! The second one saw that it was limited but researched a little further and booked it for us.

The availability changes minute to minute. There may have been no studio available for your first call. A lot can change in 2 hours. Someone could have canceled.
