Reservation with TA question

Hi! We went with a TA this time around to save us some hassle and from what I understand, the travel agent holds the reservation, and I cannot make changes to ADR's etc.

When does the reservation get handed off to me? Is there a point where I can make my own changes?

You cannot make a change to your package or room when a travel agent makes the reservation for you, but you can make your own ADR, etc. I have been able to phone or use the website and change/cancel/add to ADR's that my travel agent made. You can also get your travel agent to use your phone number or email address to book them so you have control.

Thanks! So to clarify, there will never be a point when the reservation solely belongs to us so we have full control?

No. It will never belong to you. Any information sent via mail, will go to them and they will send it to you. So waiting for Mickey Mail....it's not coming.

If you want to have 'control' over the reservation, you have to make it yourself. With WDW vacations, I don't ever see the need to use a TA.
