Reservation with mix of holding and regular points

I have 7 points in a Holding Account.
I have a reservation in March at BWV that I would like to add a day at the beginning of the trip.
I know my chances of getting BWV for that extra day are slim to none.
I can hopefully get SSR 60 days out, then move the next day.
Question is...that room is 10 points, can I use the 7 in holding, + 3 from my regular points?
Does the system do that automatically, or do I have to call MS?

The on-line reservation system will apply holding points first as long as the reservation is made no more than 60 days from check-in.
