I just made reservations, for Sept 25th, using awards that expire Oct 5th.

On my confirmation, it says:
expiration (1): Feb 8, 2012, and then the explanation for the number 1 is,

Why would this expire in February, when I got the award Oct 5, 2010 and it should expire (and the original award says this) October 5, 2011? Is this something new?

I got the same message today when I used my credits...originally they were to expire in June of this year, but it said Feb. 2012 for me too :confused3

Now is that new date for the $$$ you spent on the Security Fee? Not the Award itself? Let us know.

That refers to funds (cash). Cancel your award ticket and you can have the security fee refunded to your credit card or let SW issue a credit. That credit will have an expiration date.

Very weird. I used a bunch of travel funds yesterday and each new reservation now shows and expiration date matching the expiration date of the TTF that was used. I had a total of 12 credits with 3 different expiration dates and each purchase's expiration date matches the expiration date of the TTFs used for that purchase.

It has never shown a different date before, or I wouldn't have posted asking about it.

Since when did the security fee have an expiration? I've used them a couple years out..is this something new?

I'm pretty sure the 9-11 security fee can be refunded to your credit card. The expiration date occurs if you decide accept TTF.

Yes, it can be..but I knew I would use it.

I looked at the confirmation on tickets I bought it December, and they had the correct expiration date on them. This is the first time I have run into a different expiration date.

What is TTF?
