Reservation Timing Question for short vs long stay Availability

I would like to book a room at an All Star Resort for Nov 10-12. The website will not let me book this room. I would let me book the same room if it were a 5 night reservation. I assume that at some point this will cease to be and if rooms still exist, it will become open to being reserved for a shorter stay. Does anyone know when this happens?

I had the same issue for that weekend at Pop - I booked for the 9-14 online and then called guest relations who were able to change it to the 9-12 for me. It has something to do with their reservation system not allowing stray/single un-booked days.

No. Your assumption is not correct.
Disney has booking algorithms in place meant to discourage/prevent “ orphan” or unbookable rooms. You can call and ask to be transferred to Guest Relations to see if they will override. It’s not guaranteed

Unfortunately they can't (or won't) always do that. It is worth a call, but it is not ever something to rely on them doing.

As others have said, you can call and ask. You can also just keep checking. I have a reservation in November and I'm trying to switch resorts - new availability is popping up every day.
