Our flight leaves on a thursday at 1:00pm and we will have to return a rental car, so I dont think there's enough time to get into a park that morning (is there?), but is there time for a breakfast at 1900 or chef mickeys? This is my first time so I don't know how long they usually take. Is it worth it? I thought that might be a nice end to the vacation, I just don't want to be really rushed. Thanks!

In my opinion ending a vacation with Chef Mickey's is AWESOME. You can do it you will have time. Go to an early ress . Bk will take about an hour & 15-20 min.

I'd say it depends where you're staying.

Are you at a Monorail hotel? If yes, no problem.

However, if you're staying somewhere else, and planned on using Disney Resort Transportation to take you to 1900 or CM, you may have issues.

If you're not at a Monorail hotel, and you want to do breakfast at either, I'd highly recommend both an early ADR like the PP noted, and DRIVING to either as it will save you so much time over Disney Transportation.

Have a great time! :goodvibes

we have done this plenty of times. no problem. and i hate to fly so it takes some anxiety off that as well. Ohana breakfast was great as well.

Looks like you will have a car.. I would make an 8 am reservation at Chef Mickeys!

thanks for the help! we're actually staying off site at marriotts grande vista, so we will have a rental car and be driving everywhere. My issue with booking something at 8AM is that we're usually not even waking up until 8, much less packed and ready to go and be there 20 minutes early for a reservation. Most of the other breakfast reservations we have made are around 9:30... if I make one for around 9:30 is that pushing it too much?

9:30 would be too close for comfort at me.

9:30 ADR
9:45 Sit Down (hopefully worst case scenario)
11:00 Leave Chef Mickey's
11:15 Get Car/Leave Contemporary
11:45 Arrive at Car Rental Place
12:15 Shuttle/Walk to airport

Just my small minded opinion here :rotfl:

You are at Disney World. You can sleep late any other time you want. Make the effort to get up early and go to breakfast at Chef Mickey's. How many other chances are you going to get? You can sleep on the plane if you need a nap. Get up and go early! It is your last day in the World. Make it a magical departure day!

We usually have a breakfast adr on our last day, although our flights are not as early as yours.

I would be inclined to get up early to be able to do the breakfast without having to rush. Like someone has said you can sleep on the flight home:thumbsup2

I stayed at Marriott Grande Vista in Oct '02 (see in sigee :goodvibes). It was one of the nicer timeshares I've stayed at in Orlando.

That noted, 9:30am is definately pushing it with a 1pm flight.

MCO is a mob scene. I'd give myself at least 90 minutes at the airport between checking in and dealing with the security.

Which means you'd have to be there by 11:30.

Which means you'd have to be at the rental car return at 11:00 if off-site or 11:15 if at the airport.

Which means you'll have to be done with breakfast somewhere around 10 - 10:15 to get to your car to make the drive over to the car rental return.

Do you know exactly where you're going to return the car? Familiar with the area? Traveling gives me anxiety, and I'd rather have an 8:00 reservation to take off the edge of making a flight. Traffic, road construction, accidents, or making a wrong turn could easily turn into a missed flight when cutting it so close.

As PP's have noted, sleep on the plane! :lmao:

thanks for the opinions! I definitely understand what ya'll are saying... its not me i'm worried about waking up early, its the 5 year old that will be a grump by 11 am if i wake her up extra early :0) that being said, i could only get a 9:30 reservation when i checked this morning.. go figure! i think i'm going to take advantage of their 20 minutes early policy and pray we get seated early.. its just 3 of us so hopefully it wouldnt take too long. We're returning the rental car right at the airport, so that shouldnt take too long. The flight is actually at 1:20, so hopefully if we sit down to eat by 9:15 or so, get out of there by 10:30, we can get to the airport by 11 to return the car and get through the mob at security :0)

I do have reservations there the morning before, but last minute i was able to snag a 6:00pm reservation at le cellier, and i'm trying to stick with just one ADR each day so we get more time in the parks. So if 9:30 is really too late the last morning we can go the morning before. I still think I'm going to keep checking back and see if I can move the reservation to sometime between 8:30 and 9
