Reservation Switch

We have friends of our that have a reservation for the week of Thanksgiving. They have decided to not use their reservation. Is there anyway or what is the best way to change that reservation into our name? We are open to any options! I don't want them to cancel their reservation and it be lost to us before we can book it.

The problem you'll run into is you cannot change the lead guest on the reservation.
