Reservation Request

Ok - I closed on my resale (Yay!), confirmed that I was in the DVC system (Yay!) and joined DVC Member.com (Yay!)

I sent in an online form for a reservation request with two possible dates at the same resort. If one of these dates and rooms are open, and I automatically confirmed at that point or do I have to accept the reservation first? It's only for one night, but I wanted to use the '09 points that were on the contract and try out the DVC resort.

I've never used online reservation request, I don't feel I want to rely on that especially if it is a must have reservation jmho better to call MS and do it by phone.

I find it much easier to just call Member Services and book that way. I have no patience to wait for an online request to be confirmed.

Until they go online with the promised live system (don't hold your breath, they've been promising for years), it is basically an email reservation request. You will recive a return confirmation email if it is booked. It usually takes about 3 days.

For reservations that are "must have" it is best to use the phone. If it is during the 11 month window and not during a busy time, I use the online form.

That was a very fast confirmation response. Maybe they received your email while they were processing the emails from the weekend. I'm glad everything worked out for you.
