Hi all,
We are planning on booking two cabins for a January 2005 4 night cruise. However, we won't have the funds to pay until late
August. In order to pay the lowest deposit possible would it work to book one adult in each room (total of $400 deposit) and add the rest of the guests in August?

Thanks for any and all advice

Anne

I don't see why that wouldn't work, but, why not just wait until August to book.

The only issue would be if the kids clubs fill up. There is always a possiblity that there is room on the ship, but not room in the kids clubs. If you reserve now, you'll have space.

And, if you decide to risk it, make sure you get a room that has the sleeping capacity you want. Not all rooms sleep 4 people.

If only one adult is listed and deposited in each cabin wouldn't DCL charge you the single supplement rate??? Not sure how the pricing would be affected later when you add more people...just a thought. I would see how it would work by asking DCL.

It's too bad there's no way to have someone from these boards who is planning on going on a cruise, book for you while onboard to get you the discount and stateroom credit. That would be one service we could all do for each other.

I thought that the deposit was $400 regardless of how many people booked...am I wrong?

When I tried it different ways online it always only charge me 200 per person.

Do you all think that I would have a problem getting a cat 10 in August for a Jan cruise?
