Reservation Question

If I do not have enough points for a reservation would I be able to borrow 2 points from next year and pay the $15 for the 24 point max? As I need 26 more points than I have available and do not want to borrow that many from next year.

Yes. You can combine the purchased points from Disney with the borrowed points.

Sorry to change up the question here a bit; since "buying" extra points from Disney can only be done at the 7th month mark, if you had booked your home resort at 11 months and then called back at 7 months to "buy" the points from Disney will they put your points back into your account. Assuming that is that all is well with banking, borrowing etc...rules. Hope that made sense. Thanks.

My bet is they will only do that if there is still availability for your room, just like you can't switch out home resort points at 7 months unless there's an available room. Otherwise, it defeats the purpose of the home resort rule.
