Reservation Question.....

I was wondering how difficult it would be to get multiple rooms at SSR if we were to try to book our room about four months before our vacation. We would be planning a trip for next summer and needing several studios and perhaps a 2 bedroom. Our points are not available until next February and I want to take several family members so I want to be sure I will hopefully be able to get ahold of the rooms before I ask them. Any ideas how difficult it is to book within a four or five month window?

I expect that it will be difficult. For example we were told that DVC is sold out for This month. All resorts, all rooms. Hopefully you will have better luck.

Do you own at SSR? If so you can book at the 11 month point with your 09 points since the trip will be in your 09 use year. If you own at any of the other resorts you can use the 7 month window or book at 11 months at your home resort.

You will be able to book the rooms at the 11 month point at your home resort and there should be no problem. The points just have to be available for the time you will be staying. You do not have to wait for them to be in the current year to make the reservation. If you want a resort other than your home resort you will have to wait until the 7 month from check out date. It would be possible to book a reservation for next March now with your points that you will get next February as an example.

Thank you so much for the info. We do own at SSR and I am hoping to be able to get several rooms for our family which will make for a wonderful trip. We have several people in their 20's who I tink would enjoy being near Downtown Disney.

Definitely reserve those at the 11 month booking window. You can always cancel some later if they aren't needed, as long as you are within your banking window.
