Reservation Question

I want 5 nights at POFQ during Free Dining. I called reservations and they said 5 nights is not available, but 10 nights are. He said that I can book the 10 nights and then prior to paying the balance in full, I can reduce it down to 5 nights with Free Dining. Has anyone else done this? Can this be done?

I would try again with a different CM. Length of stay does affect availability, but what they were telling you is totally fishy. Ask a different CM, and then a manager if necessary. Hope you get what you are looking for!

I tried adding someone to our trip in sept for ddp. We are also staying at pofq. I was told there are no more rooms available for 6 nights. Our ta has a website to check availabilty for the free ddp. It showed that pofq only had three nights without switching to another resort.

I called back Disney reservations and I was able to book the 10 nights at POFQ with Free Dining. I was told that I can drop nights with no problem and still keep the free dining. The CM said to call back prior to the 45 days before the trip to drop some nights.

I am not sure about free dining, but last year I wanted CSR for 3 night and it was only available for 5 nights, I booked the five nights and 2 days later called and cancelled two nights. I got the 3 nights at the same AP rate, so maybe it is possible. I also checked to see if 3nights was available after I changed and it was not.
