Reservation question 11 month or ?

My guide just called and said that our paper work is in. We are new DVC owners at AKV! A few weeks ago we talked about how to use my developer points, and I asked my guide when I could book a Disneyland hotel. He said that Aug 15 would be my book date for next June 2009. I called member services today to book the room and they said because it was not my home resort that I could only book at the 7 month mark. SOOO what is it. Is my guide right or is MS right. I have my airline tickets on hold because of the info my guide gave me.
Has anyone booked Disneyland and know at what point this can be done.
Aug 15 is not the 11th or the 7th month mark. Help! I need to book this tickets or they will go away (I am using sky miles and those seats are hard to come by).

Developer points can only be used at the 7 month booking window. If you are using your regular AKV points, you will not be able to book the 11 monht window until your deeded portion of the resort on your contract is open, which will be in May. At least I think that's how it works. That is unless you have Jambo points instead of Kidani.

In addition, I don't think that the DL Resort points charts for 2009 have been published yet. Several people have reported that they should be available any day. -- Suzanne

I decided to try MS again. The reservationist let me make my reservations for June 2009. What my guide had told me was right. You can start booking for Disneyland as of Aug 15. Though I am not happy about the other MS, he told me that he called his supervisor and the supervisor said you could not, therefore he was lazy and I don’t believe he did anything like calling his supervisor. For my first reservation I can say that I am disappointed with the quality of some that are reservationist at MS.
