Reservation Points

I need HELP!!!

I have 164 reservation points ( DVC points converted to reservation points) that will expire jan 31 2014. Can I rent them? or can I only use them or lose them.

My family and I were scheduled to go to DL when my DD was hospitalized with meningitis. Now we do not know what our options are for the 164 reservations points.

Any help/advice will be great.

You can try to rent them but they could only be used for a non-DVC resort so it will be difficult. If other than DL, either you or the renter will have to pay the $95 fee.

They can't be used for DCL? Are there different categories of reservation points, so if the original booking was for a Disney resort, the reservation points are only good for a Disney resort?

they can be used for anything but the villas...just trying to find options

They could be used for DCL but the cost per point would have to be low to compete with a cash reservation direct with DCL. Plus the $95 fee.

You could book a stay at a non-DVC WDW hotel ( moderates and deluxes with no DVC attached. So you could book CSR, CBR, POR, POFQ, YC, GF, Polynesian. Or the DLR hotels.

Yes, you can rent them out. But you have to make sure the renters know that you cannot book a DVC villa and only those I have listed above. Good luck.

There's also the Concierge Collection, closest to the OP seems to be Ashville, NC.
