Reservation Points question

We're new to the DVC and we scheduled an Alaskan Cruise for next August. Yesterday we decided to cancel the trip. We realize that the points cannot be converted and they become reservation points and must be used for that Use Year. My question is... I can't find anywhere on the DVCmember.com website the location of those points. Where do they show up?

Any suggestions on what best to do? Would using them for the Disney Collection hotels a good idea?

As an alternative to losing them, yes.

I called up DVC member this morning and I found out that when the points are turned into Reservation Points, you can't see them in your account online.

I called up DVC member this morning and I found out that when the points are turned into Reservation Points, you can't see them in your account online.

That's correct because they have already been traded out. You cannot use them for DVC stays. You cannot use them for RCI stays. All you can pretty much use them for is Disney non-DVC stays. So enjoy a stay at the GF, the Polynesian, the Yacht Club, the Disneyland Hotel or Paradise Pier in California.

Thanks! I just wish there was an easier way to track the "reservations points". I think I have some missing since I did some switching around and cancelled a different cruise. It was a mess. I'm going to call tomorrow to straighten things out.
