I originally made my reservation for the Princess Breakfast for 7 people - 4 adults and 3 kids under age 3. But, last month DCousin decided not to go on the trip, as she'll be 6 months pregnant and is not feeling well. So, my question is, do I lose my reservation if I call to change it to 5 people instead?

Is the only way to keep it just to have to pay for the extra person?

I would call and see what CM's say. I would probably just keep them the way they are.

My guess is if you are sitting at a table for 7 you are probably going to need the same size table for a party of 6.

But don't you have a cc hold of $10 per person? I've been reading that they just started doing this, and I would worry that they would charge the OP $20 for the two no-shows. I would call and ask for that reason.

Call and chane the number.......shouldn't be a problem because you are not adding seats...that table is still there for you!

Call and see if you can change the party size. I've seen it go both ways: once we did this no problem, b/c the party was getting smaller - another time they wouldn't let us, and said we had to rebook for the new size, and nothing was available, so I kept it as it was.

Yes, the $10 pp could be charged if you show up short of your number.

Call and see what the CM's say about it. And make a note of who you talk to, in case there are problems later.

Just got off with Disney Dining - apparently, you cannot just change a reservation - they need to cancel the old, and then see if there is availability to make a new reservation. Since I didn't want to take that risk with my Princess Breakfast, I asked for a supervisor. They were able to make the change, so now I'm set!!

I was able to change my other reservations without a problem, as there was still space available for new reservations, but I did get all new reservation numbers for the rest.
