(just realized I posted this in the wrong spot so reposting here)

I found out this morning that my dad will not be joining us our quick 2 day trip in November. :(

I have a reservation booked for 4 people at the Beach Club for breakfast but now there will only be 3 of us.

Do you think this will be a problem? I've tried looking for a reservation for 3 people and there are not any out there that interest us.

Has anyone had this happen to you and was it a problem? I don't foresee it being a problem but thought I'd check with others who might have faced this same situation.

TIA!

it likely won't be a problem. We had reservations for 6 for 'Ohana on the 15th (which was the day we flew in), and Grandmom wasn't feeling up to dinner, so when I checked in, I told the CM and he said it was absolutely not a problem. A party of 3 or 4 would most likely be seated at a table for 4, so that's not typically an issue - the bigger issue is adding on, such as a 3rd person for a reservation that was going to be 2 - different table size.

If you're at all concerned about leaving it until you get there, you could always call and have them reduce the party size to 3.

I did that yesterday for one of my ADRs and they said it was no problem to do that! :goodvibes

Please give them a call. They will certainly oblige, and it may also let them open up another table for someone. Ressies are based not only on availability but also fire code. If one more person is not coming, it could really help out.
