DH and I were able to confirm reservations for WDW last month since we realized he could get the time off (military, they don't find out they can have vacation till about 3 months before) for July 5-11. I thought we'd try some sit down restaurants this time and was wondering what all these food ancronyms mean (ADR, PS)? Is it too late to request sit down meals? Since we haven't ate at any restaurants sit down there I was thinking of Sci Fi, 50s Prime Time and maybe the Angelo place for sure at the parks. I'd appreciate the insight to all this confusion

ADR is Advanced Dining Reservation, PS is Priority Seating. They mean the same thing. ADR just replaced PS name change only.

It is not to late for you to book your seatings. I would get on that now though. That is a busy time of year, & the prime spots will probably already be gone. Sci-Fi is really fun, & popular. San Angel in Epcot (I think that is the one you were talking about) is fun too. Do not forget the resort restaurants if you have time. They have some of the best places to eat. I love the Poly, they have 'Ohana  & Kona. Animal Kingdom has Boma, WL has Whispering Canyon, so try those to if you get a chance.

Well I called this morning and boy was it easy and painless! My only requirements were Liberty Tree, Sci Fi and Le Cellier between 5-6 pm and we got all of them, and all 5:30! The girl on the phone with my last reservation said dinner between 5-6 I presume, heh, yes, lol.

I'm still thinking of one last meal we should plan as a sit down but have no idea what to do.

Since you are staying the BC, if you wanted to try an Epcot restaurant LeCellier is really good. Also, I heard Beaches & Cream is fun & well if you like dessert you should love it. I will find out for myself in September.

Advance Dining Reservations simply mean reservations, as all reservations you make anywhere for anything are made, by their nature, in advance.
This is simply Disney double-speak to its lowest level.
