Reservation cancelation policies?

We have a last minute trip coming up. Only 77 days until we leave! We booked through an agent and she asked me to let her know what we want for dining reservations (we have the meal plan). I've been checking the my Disney experience app and was wondering if I can go ahead and book a reservation if it becomes available and then cancel if we change our mind or something better comes along? I can't find any info on cancelations on Disney's website other than it varies.

Has your agent made your dining reservations yet? Disney restaurants take reservations 180 days in advance, so she might not get all the reservations you're hoping for! Go ahead and make your ADRs now. Disney has a 24 hour cancellation policy for most of its restaurants; you have to cancel 24 hours in advance or you'll be charged a no-show fee of $10 per person. (I'm not sure about places like Cinderella's Royal Table- I believe that's a pre-pay meal, where you are charged when you make the reservation- there's a cancellation policy, but I'm not sure what it is.) I'd make whatever ADRs I could snag RIGHT NOW and then cancel things as/if the travel agent comes through for you. Good luck!

CRT is a twitch different than the standard ADR policy. As you mentioned, the meal is totally paid for in advance and there is a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you are eligible for the Tables in Wonderland discount, notify your server as you sit down, and they'll take care of the discount. No-shows for CRT are forfeiture of the entire pre-payment, not the $10/person like other restaurants.

Yes we change dining reservations all the time. Also don't forget to book fastpasses at day 60.
