Reservation and annual dues question

My use year is December and I will be calling in the next week to make a ressie for 12/2011. I will be using my 2011 UY points. Do my annual dues for UY 2010 have to be paid in full before I can make my ressie even though the payment due date is February? Thanks for your help!

No, it won't affect you. I have not yet paid my 2011 dues and I booked my August vacation long ago.

The dues are by calendar year and not UY, so those that are due for 2011 do not incur a late penalty or have any adverse effect on your account until they are past due (which is Feburary). And, even then, I think you have to be behind for a bit before they freeze your membership or cancel any reservations.

Agreed. I just did this yesterday and have not yet paid my dues for the year.

I think the only issue is that you can't turn up to use a reservation after Jan. 15 if you haven't paid your dues (or set up monthly debit). So there's no penalty for not paying before Feb. 15, except if you have a reservation between Jan. 15 & Feb. 15.
