If you need to reschedule do you cancel your trip first then hope you can get another ressie or can you check on another ressie before your cancel ?

MS will check for availability before canceling any current reservations. And now they just modify your existing reservation to the change instead of having to cancel & rebook. Very smooth compared to the system about a year ago.

That's exactly what I did a couple of days ago. MS did it wonderfully
