Hey everyone!

With all the COVID-19 concerns and the US's response, I'm concerned about travelling outside Canada so I've decided to reschedule my trip for mid-August instead.

I know Air Canada will let me reschedule my flights with no cancellation fee, but I'm not sure what to do about the Disney tickets—does anyone have experience with getting Disney ticket dates changed for coronavirus-related reasons?

If anyone has any tips or tricks about how to handle this, they would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I have a friends who just cancelled their trip last minute. They were able to choose new dates for later in the year and their Disney tickets were changed to the new dates. I should mention they did not have a package but I believe the same goes if you do. You will need to call Disney to make these changes and the phone queues are super long, so prepare to be tied up on hold for a couple hours. My understanding is that they were not charged any sort of fee to make the change.

I just had to do this for tickets i have on my account (not related to COVID-19 different reason!!) and this is the process for REGULAR FULL PRICED TICKETS:
If the tickets are already in your MDE you can easily go into the app and change the dates yourself! Just pick the new date you want them to start and you'll see how much it will cost you to do that (if the ticket is more expensive you'll need to pay, less you won't get anything back), your attached credit card will get charged and poof change is done.

I have no idea how this will work if they are the Canadian Discounted tickets. There is a separate phone number for existing tickets that *might* be easier to use

I have a trip booked for August, and I’m concerned. Have had it booked for months, but now I don’t know if things will be back to normal by then. I haven’t canceled, I’m in the wait and see camp.
If it’s not too late I’d reschedule for later on.

Yeah, I’m definitely still waiting it out. All we can do is keep an eye on the situation and take it day by day.

Yes, agreed. August will be too early. The US is in for a world of hurt - probably on the proportions of Italy, in my opinion. They unfortunately do not have a cohesive plan in place, and I believe it will be a while before they get back to normal.

As others have said, a "wait and see" approach is probably the best. We have a trip booked (hotel, flights, etc) for end of August and we have already told the kids it likely won't happen.

I agree with you that the USA is likely to be Italy2.0 and that it will take months before everything is back to a new normal. :(

I just confirm to my TA that I must cancel our cruise. So sad but I probably won't have any vacation weeks left this summer or will be unemployed depending on how fast the research institutes and universities re-open for non-COVID-19 research. Rationally, a cruise ship is also the last place I want to be this year, even if it's DCL.

I have the opportunity to rebook my flights (one time) so I will move those to November. Have already booked a RO hotel (can be cancelled) and the park tickets will retain the value I paid for them for a future trip. Not holding out a lot of hope that the trip will happend (but that could be my current disappointmen talking)
