we are currently waiting for our contract to clear ROFR...and i know that if/when that happens, there will be some time required for the Title company, and the courthouse, and Disney all to do some work. but once we've been approved, can anyone tell me what has to happen before we can book our first DVC vacation - and (on avg) how long that will take???? :scratchin

Once the contract has closed and the deed is recorded with the county, Disney will still need to get your information in their computer system before a reservation may be made.

Usually, you will be in the system within a week of closing. Your resale broker should be able to provide an approximate closing date. ROFR is the biggest delay, since Disney has up to 30 days for that process and closing cannot happen until that has passed.

Good luck! It is well worth waiting for! :)

The closing company has to get an estopple letter from wdw. That took eight days. You can get the docs emailed to you and send back with a certified check. The waiting for closing was one week for the buyers paperwork to come back. After closing I hear it could take up to ten business days.

Was it an Oct use year BCV 100 or 200 pt contract from The Timeshare Store? :teeth:

no....it was an APR use year BWV for 200 pts from one of TTS's competitors....
