resale purchase other than the timeshare store?

Has anyone ever bought resale from any other company other than the timeshare store? I have seen some good deals on other resale websites and wondered if I should be wary.

You will find that many Disers have purchased from Jaki at A Timeshare Broker (Link). We purchased from her quite a few years ago now and I have never heard anything bad about her company on these boards.

We used jaki Apetz in 1998 to purchase a resale and have referred many to her since. She had the best listings at the time.

We went through vacationsonly.com, which is through GMAC and everything went very smoothly. I would definately recommend them.

I have purchased from Jaki at A Timeshare and from someone else that we are not allowed to mention on these boards. She is listed on allearsnet.com under the DVC section if you are interested - she was excellent and I would definitely recommend her.

Just signed a contract with her today and she was great. Was fortunate to be the first person to call on a sweet resale at BVC. Jaki was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. And must also say that I spoke with Kristie at TSS and she was very nice also. Both are great.

I just signed a contract with Jaki last night and hopefully we are on our way to owning a piece of the magic. Looking forward to our first official DVC vacation.

Another vote for Jaki. We worked with her last summer and it was great. We will also be going back to Jaki in a few months when we sell our OKW contract.

This is a first for me - both posting on this board and buying DVC.

I found 50 pts. @ OKW thru them and just signed Friday. So far, so good!!

Now just getting thru ROFR.

Those of you who have just purchased and are now awaiting ROFR may already know this, but I'll mention it in case you don't.

If you go over to the DVC Community Forum, you will find a thread entitled "Anybody Passed ROFR lately," or something like that. Go to the last page or two and you'll find a compilation by Beca of recent contracts passed, ROFR'd, and waiting.

If you choose to, you can give Beca your contract info and she'll add you to the body of knowledge. It's very helpful info for others following in our footsteps in a few weeks.
