Resale purchase ALMOST done and a few ???

Our resale process has been very long - first offer was ROFRd, second one had foreign sellers and we are foreign buyers.... BUT, we finally closed and I am now waiting for points to be loaded.

I have a few questions about making my first reservation. I had hoped to reserve at 11 months but due to all these delays it will be closer to 9 - 9.5 months out.

1. My first order of business is to bank the points that will expire August 31st. Can I do this online or do I call?

2. I am trying for a BWV Standard 1 bedroom Dec 7th - 18th. Let's say I can book a Preferred room and I waitlist for the Standard. When the waitlist comes through, will it cancel the old reservation and re-book?

3. Will reservations always used banked points first? Especially if filling a waitlist request?

4. If there are any kind people who would like to let me know how availability is looking for my reservation (Dec 7-18th BWV Std 1 BDRM) I'd love to know! I am probably 7-14 days away from being able to book so I know it can change. Just curious.

2. Did you purchase at BWV? That time will be very difficult to book. You can configure a waitlist to cancel an existing reservation.
3. Banked and borrowed points will always be used first.

You can bank points online on dvcmember.com. You can bank all of them or a portion of them.

Typically reservations use banked points first. Sometimes, with cancellations and changes, current points get used instead but you can phone member services and they can reallocate the use of your points.

When you create a wait list, you select whether you want the wait list to replace an existing reservation or not.

As for the availability for your dates, only the 12-18 is currently available in a 1 bedroom standard villa.

When ;you go to book, it will allow you to see how the points are being used. If you want them used a different way you can.
