Resale points show!!

So my 1st add-on contract's points show in the DVC portal. It happened much faster than I thought...offer made 11/10/18, points show 12/18/18.

So please excuse my rookie question....

I have Feb use year. My contract was 0/2019, 500/2020, 250/2021 and beyond.

So I see the 500 points in the 2020 tab. Question: can I use 250 of those points today by borrowing 250 of the 500 from 2020 into 2019? Am I too late to do that? I'm also assuming I can't move all 500, since 250 have been banked from 2019, as points can only be moved once, correct?

If you have Feb use year you can book a room using all 500 points for any reservation from Feb 1 2020 to Jan 31 2021. You are correct that you cannot roll back the points that have already been banked from 2019 into 2020 but your booking window to do that is already extremely small. You would have to be making a reservation for before Jan 31, 2020 for that to be relevant and unfortunately the availability for anything within 6 weeks using DVC points is usually very limited.

Glad to hear it. Who did you use as a broker for the resale point? I went into contract for points at the Polynesian on 11/14 and am still waiting and am hoping the points show up soon. All monies have been paid.

Your question wasn't really answered, but yes, theoretically, you could borrow your 250 2020 UY points to use before 1 Feb 2020.

But in reality, you're only going to find a stray day here and there, not a string of consecutive days to use. Polynesian should have some bungalow availability for a few days in a row at the end of Jan but those are high points costs; you'd only be able to get 2 days.

They are only booking towards the end of November right now.

The OP would have December and January to book coming up. Past that possibly other days if they look but not sure.
