In December 2018, I started the process of buying a BLT resale contract. Based on my emails, the owner accepted my offer on December 11, 2018. On January 28, 2019, I received notice that Disney waived ROFR. I've never noticed because I wasn't looking, but when I search for availability, Riviera is not an option. It is an option when I search using a contract purchased in 2013 (different use years/membership numbers).
Based on my Internet sleuthing, if contracts were submitted to Disney for ROFR by January 19, 2019, they would be grandfathered in and be able to be used at Riviera. I don't know the exact date my contract was submitted, but I'm assuming it was before January 19.
Was the January 19 date not true? Should I contact Member Services? Like I said, I wasn't interested in staying at Riviera before now, so I never noticed it didn't come up as an option on search results until now.
