Could anyone tell me their experience with how long it took to get points in your disney account from the point of passing ROFR? We just passed ROFR last week, and am wondering when I should be able to make a new reservation?

Could be a few weeks, could be a couple of months. It all depends on how fast everybody does their job. Several different people from several different companies need to process the purchase is a certain order. All it takes is one delay to throw things off.

It took us three weeks to go to closing after rofr. It was about 6 days later that we were in the system. I think that the sellers dragged their feet with sending in the paperworl. I don't know why since they were getting money!

We had a similar experience.:thumbsup2

I would act the same way if it came time to sell I wouldn't want to let it go.:scared1:

Howdy neighbor, where are you at, West Islip here.

We just went through a resale purchase in May.From the time we recieved confirmation that we had passed RFOR it took approximately two weeks to have our points in the system and make reservations. The hardest part is waiting on Disney to "see" you in the system.
:rolleyes1

Thanks for all the replies! The waiting is killing me!

We are in Smithtown .... we are neighbors! I agree, I also wouldn't want to sell but I looked up these folks on the OCC website and they had tons more points. I purchased one small tiny contract of their many! All that is water under the bridge now ... will be going on my first DVC stay in October ... can't wait!!!:yay::cheer2:

Don't know. We were notified we passed ROFR on 7/16 and are waiting for the closing now.

Really can't recall how long it was in 2002 for our last resale purchase, but think it was about 6 - 8 weeks from offer to closing.

Our closing was about a month after ROFR because the owners had a trip during that time. But we finally closed 7/13 and I got the Vacation Planner book from Disney yesterday. Have not received the welcome kit or membership cards yet. But at least I know Disney knows me now!

Once we passed ROFR, it took 10 days for the owners to get everything signed and sent back (there was a holiday in there). Once the timeshare store sent the email that the deal closed, I called DVC two days later and I was already in the system. It was super fast. they were able to give me my membership ID number.

I am hoping you have received your final documents. Typically those are sent a few days after passing ROFR. Like others have said depends on how quickly both parties return those final documents. If your seller lives in the UK might take a few extra days to get them back. Once all parties get them back the closing company gets it closed and typically your points show in the account 7 days later.

If you have purchased from The Timeshare Store, Inc.® please feel free to email your associate and they will be happy to give your seller an extra push to get the documents back in to the closing company.
