I am purchasin a small resale contract at VWL I already own at AKV, I told the broker I wanted to make sure that when the deed was recorded that Disney made it part of my current contract because it has the same use year, that was important to me as I don't want to have to keep track of a bunch of master contracts. The broker said that they will inform Disney and that Disney is good about checking for that as well. In reading a few threads on the boards I read a post that stated the exact opposite that Disney messes this up often. So now my question, assuming it passes ROFR, in others experience does Disney check or do they mess it up and if it gets messed up will Disney fix it?

The resale contract is the same use year as my current contract and it will be titled and deeded in the exact same way as my current contracts are.

I would say DVC is very good about this but they don't realize it in some cases and they will NOt fix it later from what I know. I'd make sure it's listed in the contract including your member and contract number. I'd also alert DVC yourself (member admin) what's going on including the member number and contract number of the contract you're buying. Good luck, if you do this the odds are very much in your favor. Still, there are no guarantees and the broker has little ability to control it other than making sure DVC knows about it.

Dean gives good advice, as always. :thumbsup2

When you call Member Admin, they will note your current membership but they can't do anything until your paper work is sent in by your Broker/Escrow Agent. Let your Broker/Escrow Agent that you want to be notified when the paper work is sent in so you can follow up.

Less errors seem to happen when sales are slow. I attribute the errors to Cast Members who are temporally assigned to help the Admin folks when things get busy.
