Resale Closing Time

I don't want to keep bothering the company, but I just sent in my deposit on a resale, through the Timeshare store, does anyone know about how long it should take unitl the sale is closed and I hear from Disney, as long as there are no problems? I sent the deposit down fedex next morning just to push things along! thanks

Usually it is about 4 to 5 weeks after both parties have signed the contract. Sometimes shorter, sometimes a little longer. Within a week or so after closing you should be informed by Disney, usually through your broker, what your member number is and you can call to make ressies then.What I do not know is whether your seller has signed the contract yet (and thus actually started the clock ticking towards closing).

Mine took forever, but I wasn't in any rush. About 8-10 weeks from the moment I made the offer. I returned all paperwork promptly.

We ran into a couple snags. Disney never did come back with ROFR (if I remember), so their option took 30 days to expire. Then the seller forgot to have something notarized, so the closing got delayed for a week or two longer. The closing company seemed very slow - but I don't think either the seller or I was pushing for a quick close.

I sent my deposit around July 17th and closing was Sept 8th according to my paperwork. I have a hard time buying it since Sept 8 was a Sunday but thats what it says....

Our OKW resale offer was accepted on August 3rd (Sat). The deposit was sent August 5th (Mon). We closed about September 16th. I called MS and got our new # on Sept. 24th. (I kept forgetting to call).

I going thru the timeshare store, also, and I'm still waiting. I sent in my paperwork on Sept. 20th with my deposit. So, it's been a little over 30 days and we're still counting. Another person on this board told me her's took about 38 days so I'm hoping it's going to go thru soon. I'll let you know if I close soon. Good luck with yours!!! I CAN"T WAIT.

OOPS! I actually am going thru Reid realty. It's been so long since I've heard anything and I look at so many resales daily that I forgot that it was Reid that I finally went with. Sorry!

Got a call this morning and they said about 5-6 weeks, paperwork has been sent to Disney and the closing company, so if no snags 5-6 weeks
