Requests using Online Checkin!

I've never used Online checkin before and was wondering how I would go about making a room location request by that method? Rather than doing it by calling MS beforehand or doing it at arrival in person using the regular checkin process.

Basically, how do I make a room location request AND use Online Checkin?

I found out yesterday you can only make 3 types of requests when doing online check in. You can request a refrigerator, play pen or near transportation ONLY. All other requests you have to call and make the request (ie. joining rooms, king size beds, etc). I was trying to do online check in yesterday and found out by calling that was what had to be done. Hope this helps..
 
I just did my online CHeckin :cool1: and there was a 4th option - might depend on the resort :confused3 That option was ground floor. I did my location request and high chair request over the phone already.
 
Unless you have special needs for one in your party, don't worry too much about location. They do an excellent job of building and every room has its advantages and disadvantages. I found that trying to manage room location was really too much micro managing. Since I am the type who wants to manage everything I now put my efforts in other things like planning parks and meals and other things. Drives my wife nuts. Summary - worry about the things you can control
 

I am trying to check in on line,a nd when I click on the "Add a room request" option, a box opens up but there are no options to select in the box?? Anyone have this problem?
 
Requests on DVC reservations should be made through Member Services, or through the DVC Owner if you are renting the reservation.

When using online check-in for DVC the request field is usually limited to ground floor.

Thanks- there's not even that option, but it is BLT so that makes sense- it was just confusing b/c it looks like something is missing. I will call MS instead.

I am having that same problem...I think I may wait a few days and try again. Not sure if I am doing something wrong:confused3

Nope you aren't doing it wrong- there simply are no options on the DVC check in except ground floor for some resorts. Simply call Member Services and they will note any requests for you.
